Netflix returns as Honourable Partner

Netflix returns as Honourable Partner

Netflix, the world’s leading internet entertainment service, has signed as an Honourable Partner of Australia’s premier screen industry event, SCREEN FOREVER.

After last year’s sell-out fireside chat with Netflix Director of Content Acquisition, Lauren Smith, Netflix executives from the worlds of drama, genre and young audience content will take part in a number of sessions across the 2019 SCREEN FOREVER program. They’ll provide delegates invaluable insights into the industry leader’s pioneering content strategy, how consumer choice and control drives everything they do, as well as the future of the industry.

In a SCREEN FOREVER first, delegates will have the opportunity to pitch directly to Netflix at the SPA Connect market. Attendees will also be able to attend Netflix Roundtables, allowing them to engage with their team in a relaxed and informal setting.

After a full day of sessions illuminating the issues affecting our industry, delegates are invited to meet, mingle and network at the enormously popular Opening Night Drinks, this year exclusively supported by Netflix and housed at an exciting new venue – the vibrant, subterranean bar, Spice Market.

Netflix is also the exclusive supporter of the SCREEN FOREVER creche, showcasing its commitment to kids and family entertainment and in support of a diverse screen industry. Available onsite and provided free of charge to delegates on each day of the event, the creche service will help parents and carers working in the industry more easily access SCREEN FOREVER’s business and personal development opportunities.

As a global platform bringing joy to members all over the world by connecting them with great stories and artists, Netflix is committed to investing in high quality, diverse original content available only on Netflix. The service continues to make a splash in the local market with productions and co-productions such as The UnlistedLunatics, Hannah Gatsby’s Nanette,CargoTidelandsThe Letdownand recently announced Clickbait.

Further details on the Netflix executives in attendance will be released in the coming weeks. In the meantime, secure your conference Gold Pass at www.screenforever.org.au
