Matchbox Pictures wins 2019 SDIN Award

 
 

Matchbox Pictures has been announced as this year’s recipient of the annual SDIN Award.

Matchbox Pictures was selected by an external panel from a very impressive shortlist which included Bunya Productions and Blackfella Films.

The award recognises an Australian based producer and/or production company and/or screen organisation that has made a significant contribution through excellence or impact to diversity and inclusion either on or offscreen within the Australian screen industry.

Matchbox have produced a diverse slate of programming in 2019, in particular The Heights for ABC which explores the relationships, work lives and everyday challenges faced by six families living in the Arcadia social housing tower and the gentrifying inner-city district that surrounds it.

Matchbox Pictures is one of the most dynamic and innovative production houses in Australia and SDIN congratulates the Matchbox team on the important work they do.
