The Screen Producers Australia Awards (SPA Awards) are back in 2019 to celebrate the excellence of the companies and creatives behind Australia's most iconic screen stories.
Now in it's nineteenth year, the annual Awards honour the skill, accomplishment, and imagination of our members and remain the only awards voted solely by the production businesses who take Australian stories to the world and help the Australian independent production sector to thrive.
Since the first SPA Awards were held 2000, many of Australia's most iconic and prolific producers have been commended by their peers including Matchbox Pictures, ITV Studios Australia, Fremantle, Hoodlum, Wildbear Entertainment, Bunya Productions and Aquarius Films.
This year, achievements will be recognised across eighteen categories, encompassing a wide variety of platforms and genres including feature film, documentary, short film, television, online, immersive media and animation, as well as the coveted Media Super Production Business of the Year Award and acclaimed Lifetime Achievement Award.
The 2019 SPA Awards ceremony will take place at the Forum Theatre, Melbourne on 14 November.
